i got a semi on the escalator
The Flyers game was fun last night. Both kids enjoyed it… well the huge boat horn that went off during a goal last night scared the crap out of Viv. Bubs really enjoyed the big checks against the boards and seemed to be following the action based on the questions he was asking me. The Flyers lost (there is something wrong with Mike Richards – he’s not himself out there lately, and Danny Briere is not ready to play, he looked sluggish out there), but it was more about taking my kids to a game I love and just having fun.
As we were leaving last night, I had this semi-epiphany while herding like cattle down the escalator from section 215…. “I was in a pretty bad car accident this morning, I’m in debt up to my eyeballs, my roof has a leak in it, but I couldn’t be happier right now – my kids are with me.” Insanity or finding some earthly nirvana? Who cares, happy is a slippery ball and it’s difficult enough to grab a hold of even for a second… so why break this down? Just be happy.

I guess the best part must be the realization that there is no
direct correlation between happiness and money.
Sure, it helps not having to worry about cash, but having the onces you love at your side is truly priceless.

amigo, you have the right attitude. people are more important than any things there are. and when your kids are the people….well, it’s a no brainer.
abbe is just way too cute for words but would you give the poor girl a lozenge or something. and yay for her doing the climb. she rocks!
