commercials for fart cars

Abbe: Did that say Fart?
Van: No, it said Fiat, it’s a car commercial for not-fart cars.

Abbe and I took turns doing our short runs yesterday. My back felt fine and got to run in my brand new Pumas. BUT, my left shin could have a problem, see around a month or so ago, Abbe, the kids, and I went to the ballfield and had some batting practice. My son hit a line drive that I stupidly put my left foot out to stop and it banged off my shin pretty hard. It has been sore since then, just a dull pain, but it seems to be getting worse with each run. Nothing black and blue, but I should probably have this looked at before my shin snaps in two or something.

instead of a Great Wall, the Chinese could have used Abbe’s stomach to keep out the Mongols

Abbe and I went out for a date last night… we had a gift card for PF Changs and although I’m not a fan of the chain and Abbe does not like Chinese food, hey a free meal when is a free meal and boy, we really needed a few hours to get out of the house and exhale. The food was ok, the server was great, we chowed down and tipped really well.

But after we got home, I read a couple stories to Van and Viv, Abbe’s tummy remembered that it hates Chinese food.

That brings me to today. Today is my late father’s birthday. There will be a party tonight. Tough day, tough day.

Movie reviews…

Katyn – very powerful film depicting the Soviet slaughter of Polish officers in the Katyn forest during WWII.

The International – decent thriller, Clive Owen is always good.
