The cheese shoppe may have closed, but the bonds remain… this is Abbe’s former co-worker and our very good friend, Caroline. She now works at one of my client’s stores. She misses Abbe. A lot.

Titan’s first date and WE DID IT!!!

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

Titan had a buddy over yesterday, a very sweet flat-coated retriever named Betsy… the two big black dogs ran around and had a lot of fun in our backyard (Titan is on the right in this picture).

Want to see something awesome?

You sure?

OK…

WE YOU DID IT!!! Our Disney marathon team just reached our goal last night and went over $11,000 raised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Now comes the easy part, Abbe and I just need to go run 39.3 miles! This is a HUGE relief!

where we try to eat all of the oysters in Cape May…

Monday, October 3rd, 2011

Well, yesterday was a bad day for Philly sports – the Eagles and Phils lost, but we got to spend a day with Big Tom, Aunt Cis, and my mom down at Cape May. And yes, we got to get some seriously great grub at the Lobster House. After filling our bellies and stopping for Tom to do a little shopping, we stopped in at Penza’s Pies in Hammonton on the way home.

That night, we had our first fire of the season and Tom and Mom came over to watch Breaking Bad with us. Abbe and I have been waiting 2 years to watch Breaking Bad with our big buddy from New Mexico, when he introduced the show to us during our visit out in Las Cruces and Cloudcroft.

Tonight, we are having dinner at Mom’s with more great friends, the Oates and tomorrow night we’re heading to see The Gourds, one of Tom’s favorite bands.

Good day

Sunday, October 2nd, 2011

Lots of good stuff to report – Bubs had his first ice hockey game yesterday morning, Georgia Tech is now 5-0, I got a nice 3.5 miles in, the Phils pounded the Cards in Game 1 of the NLDS, and Big Tom from New Mexico arrived safely last night. We are heading to Cape May for the day with the big fella with my mother and my Aunt Cis. Oh yes, and you know what’s in Cape May? That’s right – Lobster House!

Movie Review…

Unknown – I grabbed this from the library not remembering previews for the film and expecting a shitty action thriller, and it was better than expected. Nothing ground-breaking here, but this was a decent spy film set in Berlin.

Movie Review…

Super – this is one of those medium cool movies that you are unsure if you should be laughing. Because the main characters are mentally disturbed and enacting some serious violence on sometimes deserving folks… but it is kinda funny in parts. From the outside, it looks like a Kick-Ass rip-off, but it absolutely is not, this is much darker. The script is a bit of a mess, it almost appears as though two writers that never spoke to each other wrote the same basic storyline and they kind of picked scenes from both scripts.
